POOMSAE / PATTERNS FOR GRADING
Poomsae, also known as forms or patterns, is a series of choreographed movements that represent a defensive and offensive battle against imaginary opponents. At Musa we teach the WT global recognised standards in Poomsae. Each Poomsae follows a specific sequence of blocks, strikes, kicks, and stances, allowing students to practise precise techniques, balance, and focus. Practising Poomsae helps develop muscle memory, strengthens the mind-body connection, and fosters discipline. It’s a foundational aspect of Taekwondo that emphasises the importance of technique, form, and mental concentration, helping students progress through their belt ranks.
